The Multi-Unit Program Goal:

Independent distributors today cannot cost effectively service Multi-Unit accounts.  The Multi-Unit customers need a wide geographic coverage, standardized products and dedicated customer service. By joining with other independents across the country they can now complete with the huge corporations  in procuring Multi-Unit business opportunities, as the network grows so do the business opportunities.

While the INTEGRA^® products and systems are the catalyst for this national network, the ability to deliver dedicated service beyond traditional borders will be key.  The service expectations of Multi-Unit customers are more demanding than ever. The implementation of the INTEGRA^® University program will help to improve the service competancy of all participating members.  This will be key to attracting and maintaining Multi-Unit business opportunities.

Multi-Unit accounts can be very challenging from a profitability standpoint, as Multi-Unit Customers continue to put pressure on gross margins.  The INTEGRA^® network will continue to seek ways to stay relevant to customer's needs protecting margins.  We will be very selective when approaching new opportunities.

Chain accounts by definition have significant size and buying power, which provide leverage in demanding lower prices.  In addition, because of their complexity and demographics, they are often more difficult and expensive to service.  A Multi-Unit program cannot be treated like the ‘flavor of the month’, everyone involved needs to take it seriously, commitment is required by all participants.  This is not something we can dabble in, that’s why we’ve put the time and attention into the planning process.
